As you are all aware Australia in a state of crisis with the current ongoing bushfires. We are seeing it every day and the devastation it has left behind with the loss of countless animals, homes, bushland & heartbreakingly, lives.
In an effort to shed some positivity in a dark time we would like to spotlight some of the work the Surf Industry is doing to create awareness & donations to go towards the bushfires.

We chose to donate $1000 across four charities. WIRES Wildlife Rescue, Red Cross Disaster Relief & Recovery, Salvation Army Disaster Appeal & NSW Royal Firefighting Service. Along side with ongoing donations to local fundraising happening in Geraldton.

They have set up a GoFundMecampaign for the World Surf Communityto get together and spread awareness & raise much needed funds to be dispersed among different local registered charity groupswho are doing amazing work at getting these affected communities back on their feet.

Volcomhas partnered with artist Hockey Dad to create a fundraiser show with other bands in whichall proceedsfrom the tickets will be donated to NSW Rural Fire Service, NSW National Parks & Wildlife Service and the Red Cross Disaster Relief & Recovery.There will be raffles on the night and it will be held at Winding Bowling Club, NSW.

Havaianas is donating three days of total online salesto help disaster affected communities. Red Cross, Salvation Army and WWF Australia are the charities they have chosen. They have also pledged to donate Havaianas to communities and individuals in need.
Countless more amazing brands are doing their bit to contribute also.
Lastly, we would just like to say how proud we are at this time to be apart of the Surf Industry. These amazing brands all helping the cause in their own way. It's breathtaking seeing so many people with power put a foot forward and do something for such a devastating time in our country.
The ongoing support and strength shown by Australia is truely one of a kind. We are a country made up of comradery and mateship this is something that can never be burnt. We will lend a helping hand to our brothers and sisters in need. This is who we are. WE ARE ONE & WE ARE IN THIS TOGETHER.
